Uflex Engineering introduces Automatic Inks Change Trolley system at PlastIndia 2023


Mr.Ajay Tandon, President, Engineering business and new product development, UFlex Limited said, “Plastindia is one of the largest platforms to display raw material, converting machines, processing machines, and other products and solutions catering to the packaging and printing industries. Here we are promoting our rotogravure machine with quick auto change over trolley and displaying a solventless laminator with improved tension control systems at the stand. The displayed laminator has a speed of 400 to 450 mtr/min. We also have a different range of slitters, like the new Ecoslit- 600, which can accurately perform at 600 mtrs/mins, giving value for money and better ROI to customers.”


Recently, we have introduced the automatic ink trolley change system. It is the first-of- its-kind innovation in the world, where the trolley change-over happens with the press of a button. Usually, in a gravure press, it takes almost 45 minutes to do a change-over of the job, and it is the most tedious process to change the cylinders, ink, doctor blade, etc.one by one and at every station.

Uflex Posts Highest Ever Quarterly Production Volume; Robust Net Revenue for Q2FY18-19 Backed by 10.6% Y-O-Y Surge in Sales Volume

  03 November 2018, Noida, Uttar Pradesh(India): India’s flexible packaging giant, Uflex Limited reported 10.6% increase in overall sales volume on year-on-year basis, thereby achieving highest ever consolidated net revenue of INR 2020.8 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2018. The consolidated net revenues showed a jump of 26% from INR 1603.8 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. Uflex also achieved the highest ever quarterly total production volume of 102442 MT. The consolidated EBITDA for Q2FY18-19 increased by almost 12% Y-O-Y to INR 264.6 crore from INR 236.5 crore. The consolidated net profit for Q2FY18-19 at INR 95.7 crores was higher by 1.5% Y-OY. Both Flexographic and Rotogravure printing technologies are well established in their own stature and have their fair shares of advantages and disadvantages. Let’s try and understand the principle of Rotogravure and Flexographic Printing Technology! Gravure printing is a type of intaglio printing process; i.e., it involves engraving the image onto an image carrier. In rotogravure printing the image is acid-etched on the surface of a metal cylinder—one cylinder for each color—in a pattern of cells. The cells are recessed into the cylinder, unlike relief printing or letterpress where the printing image is raised, or like offset printing, in which the image is level with the plate. The cylinder is etched with cells of different depths. These cells hold the ink that is transferred to the substrate.
